design experiments
This fun page is dedicated to showcasing design work that I have conducted on my own, independent of work or school.
Much of it is for the purpose of practice and experimentation, whilst the motivation behind each project can usually be attributed to my interest in the subject matter or style of design.
jnco jeans ad
In order to practice designing in different styles, I created this hypothetical advertisement poster for JNCO Jeans, a clothing company founded in 1985 that is famous for its wide-leg jeans. This advertisement is centered around their 'Thug' jeans.
I aimed to embody not only the essence of the brand but also the style of design that was relevant in the 90's-00's. The poster is equipped with highly stylized typography, lots of lens flares, high contrast, 3D elements, and texture.

y2k digital design
Influenced by the unique aesthetic of early 2000s digital design and Japanese adverts, this poster is meant to mimic a promotion you might see in a magazine at the time. It features many different elements, including vibrant colors, digital effects, and a flurry of shapes.
Russian Propaganda homelander poster
Based on the Amazon Prime series "The Boys", this poster utilizes a grunge aesthetic to create a dystopian and unsettling piece of propaganda that could be seen in-universe.
The design references Homelander, the show's version of an evil Superman character. With warnings in the Russian language and a graphic depiction, the poster drives the point home that Superheroes are not to be trusted.
clementine
A fun fact about me is that I play the drums. Over the past couple of years, some of my friends and I started playing music together, unofficially calling ourselves ‘Clementine’.
This is a theoretical poster for a song called 3x3. The design is heavily influenced by 90’s Japanese digital design. It features components such as flowing elements, Japanese text, and technological graphics.
musical poster:
roller derby by pretoria
This poster is simply a design inspired by one of my favorite songs at the moment, Roller Derby. It is a fast-paced song about finding love at a roller rink. My design reflects the vintage-style sounds and high energy through the typography and color palette.
Nintendo DS advertisement
Whilst practicing magazine aesthetics for my senior project, I decided to make an advertisement for the Nintendo DS.
In this poster, I aimed to embody the communication styles that Nintendo had going on in the 2000s. Many of their ads were humorous or ironic in some way, and I tried to feature that attitude here.
